Covid 19 vaccine dry run: India gears up for nationwide coronavirus vaccination mock drill today | Know where these will be held

Amid new discovery of mutant coronavirus strain, originating from the United Kingdome (UK), India is all set to undertake dry run of Covid-19 vaccine on Saturday. This will be a trial before the actual vaccination drive begins in the country. All states and Union Territories are ready to undertake one of the biggest dry run drive before the actual immunization. The Covid 19 vaccination mock drill on Saturday is a part of the Centre’s decision to test across the country the preparedness of the authorities before launching the actual vaccination programme, a health department official said.

This comes after Union health minister Harsh Vardhan on Friday held a meeting with all the stakeholders concerned to review the preparedness.

The activity is set to be conducted by all state and union territory administrations on January 2 to test the linkages between planning and implementation and to identify the challenges, the Centre had said on Thursday.
